It may not seem like it, especially with a winter storm in the near forecast, but spring, summer, and sunny outdoor fun are just around the corner. So, say goodbye to sledding, snowball fights and building snowmen, and get ready to dive into all the fun things to do in Bedford Township once the snow melts.

Bedford Summerfest and Fireworks

The Bedford Summerfest 2020 kicks off on Thursday, June 11 at 4PM, and runs through Sunday, June 14 at 8pm. The festival features rides, activities, booths, live music, a beer tent, a parade, and much more.

Beer tent, carnival rides, games, and live bands will prove to be a show stopper for this summer event! Please help us make this a successful community event with your support and sponsorship!"

Plus, the Bedford Summerfest will include a fireworks show! Typically, the Bedford fireworks are held in the Bedford High School parking lot. But this year, due to some repairs being made at the high school, that’s not possible. Instead, the fireworks will be held during Bedford Summerfest at Parmelee Park. On Friday, June 12, the fireworks will start around 9PM. And really, how convenient is that, since you’ll already be there enjoying the festival! Golfing

I know there are a lot of folks just itching for some sunny days so they can hit the links. Bedford Township features several options for golf enthusiasts, including Giant Oak Golf Club, Bedford Hills Golf Club, and Maple Grove Golf Course. But maybe the typical golf experience isn’t your thing. In that case, check out the disc golf courses at Vienna Park or Parmelee Park.

Indian Creek Zoo

Love animals? Good news! Indian Creek Zoo in Lambertville houses more than 300 animals! On top of regular admission to the zoo, Indian Creek offers a variety of experiences for visitors, including the Giraffe Adventure or the Sloth Experience. They also have zoo camp over the summer for your budding naturalists. Or, for the truly animal-obsessed, they host birthday parties and special events.

Bedford Business Association Trade Fair

For all you business owners and entrepreneurs, the Bedford Business Association hosts its trade fair on March 21-22. Now, I know I said these were things to do when the snow melts, and we all know that there could still be snow on the ground in late March in Michigan. But it is technically spring, so it made the cut. The Bedford Business Association Trade Fair is a great place to make connections in the Bedford Township business community.
